Welcome to the Asset Center: one register for everything your company owns and uses up.

It shows who holds each item, what is in stock, what is being consumed, and what should not be bought twice.

The six figures at the top give you the state of play: items registered, items in use, stock that has been confirmed, items still held by people who have left, consumables below their reorder level, and the recorded purchase value.

Everyday work starts from the four buttons in the header: register an item, receive a purchase, import a list, or open a stock count.

Items by category shows how each type of item is split between in use, in stock, being repaired, and lost or damaged.

Start with the set-up worklist. Items that came over from the old register as in stock must be confirmed before anyone can be offered them. The AI proposes where each one really is, and nothing moves until someone accepts.

Every night, an audit checks the register. Its findings appear here as AI alerts. For example, someone who has left the company but still holds a company laptop.

Asset Center managers also see who is leaving soon with company items, so the return can be arranged before their last day.

The Items tab is the full register. Narrow it down with the view, group, category and company filters, or search by tag, name, serial, model, holder, department or place. Each row shows the item with its model and serial, its category, its status, who holds it, and the owning company.

An amber 'not confirmed' next to a holder means that person has not yet acknowledged the hand-over. Click any row to open the item's panel, where you can edit it, hand it over, report a problem, print its label, or dispose of it.

The set-up worklist splits what the old register left behind into five lists: not checked, models, shared serials, no company, and unknown holder. On Not checked, the AI proposes where each item really is, and how sure it is. Accept the proposal, mark the item missing, or tick several rows and record them in the store, or hand them over together.

The Stock tab lists every consumable in each store: what is on hand, what is held for requests, what is available, and the level at which to reorder. A line that has never been counted shows 'count needed', and no reorder alert is sent for it until its first count.

Use Receive stock when supplies arrive, and Issue to give them to a person or a department. The menu on each line takes stock back, moves it to another store, sets the reorder level, or shows every movement.

Stores and places is where set-up begins. Each store is run by a desk team, whose members become its store keepers, and you need at least one store before you can register items. Places are the rooms, floors and sites where installed items live.

Suppliers holds the companies you buy from, with the items and purchases recorded against each. If the same supplier was typed in two different ways, use Merge into, to keep just one.

Insights brings the analysis together: what the nightly audit found, who is leaving soon with company items, and a year of consumption by department. With AI access, you can also ask a question about your assets in plain words, and get an answer from the live data.

Finally, Settings holds three numbers: how many days ahead count as leaving soon, when stock counts as idle, and how long an item stays held for a request. Below them, keep the categories and models tidy. Models copied from the old register are marked 'to check'.

That's the Asset Center. In the next video, we'll register an item and hand it over, step by step.
